What is 3D Printing?
3D printing is a process that builds a three dimensional model, layer by layer out of a quick drying material (usually plastic). It was pioneered in the 80s and has seen steady growth since then to where we now have home 3d printers selling for a few hundred dollars. There seems to be no limit to what 3d printing can print, including even human body parts and organs. For more info on just how 3D printing works, take a look at the video below.

Computer Deadlock
A deadlock is a situation in which two computer programs sharing the same resource are effectively preventing each other from accessing the resource, resulting in both programs ceasing to function. The earliest computer operating systems ran only one program at a time. Most current operating systems cannot prevent deadlocks. In a communications system, deadlocks occur mainly due to lost or corrupt signals rather than resource contention.

Semaphore
In computer science, a semaphore is a variable or abstract data type used to control access to a common resource by multiple processes in a concurrent system such as a multitasking operating system. A semaphore is simply a variable. This variable is used to solve critical section problems and to achieve process synchronization in the multi processing environment. A trivial semaphore is a plain variable that is changed (for example, incremented or decremented, or toggled) depending on programmer-defined conditions. - Wikipedia

Bricking
Bricking refers to a consumer electronic device that has been damaged beyond repair, making it utterly unusable, often because of damaged firmware. The use of the term stems from the brick-like shape of many consumer gadgets, and the fact that once they are rendered inoperative, they are virtually useless except as a paperweight or a doorstop. Strictly speaking, a device is bricked when it completely loses its functionality. However, the term is being used with more flexibility these days, and in some cases, bricked electronics are still recoverable with some hardware replacement or additional software.
